Fire Destroys House, Garage and Out Building in Ainsworth

A house, garage and out building were completely destroyed by fire Saturday night, January 8th. Firemen went back to the house three times Sunday morning to put out hotspots.

All three structures were completely engulfed in flames when firemen arrived at the scene according to Ainsworth Fire Chief Brad Fiala.

Two fire hoses with four firemen were dedicated to pouring water on the Pat Preble house located just south of the Weeks house to minimize potential damage. A large tree located between the two houses was also watered down to keep it from catching fire.

With the house and two other buildings completely engulfed by flames when they arrived on the scene, firemen were in control mode to keep the blaze from catching a house to the south and surrounding grass on fire.
