The Ainsworth Bulldogs hosted the Holdrege Dusters in first round action of the Southwest Conference Basketball Tournament on January 23rd. The Bulldogs lost to the Dusters in overtime, 73-75.

The Ainswort Wrestling Team competed in the West Holt Invitational on Tuesday, January 22nd in Atkinson. The meet was originally scheduled for January 12th, but was postponed due to weather.

Kendyl Delimont Breaks Records, Reaches 1,000 Points AHS junior Kendyl Delimont joined an elite basketball club Thursday night, March 16th, when she surpassed 1,000 career points. In addition to the landmark career points achievement, Delimont also broke the girls basketball school records for career 3-pointers, most 3-pointers in a season and most points scored in a season.

The Ainsworth Bulldogs traveled to Ogallala on Saturday, January 20th and lost to the Ogallala Indians, 60-87. Ogallala had a big 31 point first quarter while the Dawgs managed only 11 points.

The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Higgins Invitational in Lexington on January 19th. Jolyn Pozehl took first place in the 110 lb.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team competed in the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational on January 20th and placed 22nd out of 24 teams. Jackson Irwin, 132 lb.

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs defeated Boyd County Lady Spartans and then fell to the O’Neill Lady Eagles this past week. The Lady Bulldogs hosted Boyd County on January 9th and defeated the Lady Spartans 59-35.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team competed in the Burwell Invitational on January 5th. The Ainsworth Team finished in 16th place.

The Lady Bulldogs were on a four-game winning streak until they met the Minden Lady Whippets and Holdrege Lady Dusters this past week. Minden Lady Whippets The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs traveled to Minden on January 5th and were handed a 47-65 loss.
