Ainsworth Girls Track Team Takes First Place at Sandhills Invite

Ainsworth Track Teams competed in the Sandhills Invite on Monday, April 1st in Bassett. Ten women’s teams competed in the track meet with the Ainsworth girls taking first place in the Women’s Division with 105 points. In the Men’s Division, nine teams competed. North Central took first place with 139 points and Ainsworth placed third with 94 points. Women’s Team Scores: 1. Ainsworth - 105; 2. North Central - 94; 3. West Holt - 81.5; 4. Burwell - 48; 5. Anselmo-Merna - 45.5; 6. Ewing - 38; 7. Valentine - 36; 8. Chambers Wheeler Central - 31; 9. Stuart - 28; and 10. Twin Loup - 20. Ainsworth girls had two athletes place first in three individual events. Rylee Rice took first place in the 100 Meter and 300 Meter Hurdles with Erin Painter placing first in the Shot Put. The 4x800 Relay Team of Cee-Anna Beel, Bria Delimont, Shelby Jones and Rylee Rice took first for Ainsworth’s fourth first place medal.
