Agriculture is the Subject of the Day for KBR Leadership Students

The KBR Leadership Academy held their January meeting at Madison’s Great Western outside of Ainsworth. Agriculture was the subject of the day and the fourteen students began with an introduction by Chandra Giles, local UNL extension educator.

Giles spoke on the importance of understanding and sharing your personal story.

Jim Jenkins, cattle producer and owner of Skeeter Barnes restaurants, followed Giles’ talk with his own story. Jenkins, who ranches near Callaway, is a passionate advocate for the beef industry. He spoke to the students about “Beef’s Contribution to a Better World.”
