Lance Philben Takes Over as Manager of the Ainsworth Irrigation District

Ainsworth Irrigation District Manager Rod Imm passed on the leadership reins to Lance Philben on January 1st of this year.

Philben worked under Imm for four years as assistant manager/ field supervisor before assuming the role of manager.

A native of Springview, NE, Philben is a graduate of Keya Paha County High School and earned an associates degree from Northeast Community College. He will soon finish up a year of training through the Nebraska Water Leaders Academy, a program that provides leadership training and educates participants about the vital role that rivers, streams and aquifers play in the economic sustainability of the state.

Philben said he is looking forward to working with the water users in the Ainsworth Irrigation District in the future. Imm, who served as the manager for 23 years, will remain with the district for the next few years to ensure a smooth transition before his retirement.
