Move-In Date Getting Closer for School’s New Ag Building

Industrial arts students who have been displaced for months will soon move into their new classrooms as construction begins to wrap up on Ainsworth Community School’s new ag building.

Superintendent Darrell Peterson said students should be able to move in to the classrooms the second week of January, and the rest of the shop area two weeks after.

A lot needs to be done before that can happen, but Peterson said the project is “right on schedule” with construction crews working sometimes 12 hours a day, seven days a week to get it finished.

The crews recently finished the classroom floors and ceilings and installed all the windows. They’re also wiring the building for internet and have made significant progress on the bathrooms.

“The students are getting anxious” to move into the building, Peterson said. “They’ll be glad to have a classroom again.”
