New Industrial Arts & Ag Addition Set to be Enclosed by Second Semester

Chief Construction, the building firm hired by the Ainsworth Community Schools Board of Education continues to move forward on the new industrial arts and ag addition to the existing school building. The new addition is 107’ x 135’. Although the crew started a little behind their scheduled start date, they have made up the time and are preparing to have the metal building brought in the first part of October and completely enclosed by the start of the second semester in January 2019. A temporary fence was put up around the playground area as a safety precaution for the students.

The new industrial arts and ag building will house a new area for classrooms, storage, offices, area for auto mechanics, metal shop, areas to locate a router table, wood shop, planer, finish room, welding tables, plasma table and a cutting station. Several large overhead garage doors have been added for easy entrance on both the west and east sides of the new addition. Up to this point, local contractors who have helped with the project are Saner Plumbing, Ainsworth Ready Mix, Frontier Diesel and Schumacher Fencing.
