As the doors to Ainsworth Community Schools open on Wednesday, August 12th, students will be welcomed by old and new staff members for the 2020-2021 school year.
LINCOLN – The state case total, as of 5:45 p.m. CT Friday, August 7th, was 28,104, an increase of 1,893 from Friday, July 31st. There were 13 new COVID-19-related deaths in the state, for a total of 345. A total of 20,333 Nebraskans diagnosed with COVID-19 have since recovered.
North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) has been made aware of seven (7) additional positive COVID-19 cases in the district.
Following a three-hour hearing on August 4th for a special use permit request for John Gross Finisher swine facility, the Brown County Commissioners voted two to one to decline the permit, with Commissioner Dennis Bauer voting to approve the permit and Commissioners Reagan Wiebelhaus and Raymond Small voting to deny the permit.
