Clarification on Keya Paha County Case Data
Public Service Announcement
On the afternoon of May 20th there was a data entry error during the State of Nebraska COVID-19 daily website update. During the update there were three cases populated for Keya Paha County. North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) would like to confirm with residents that the Keya Paha County case count remains at zero, with no new cases to report as of today. NCDHD has been in contact with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and DHHS is working on correcting the website error.
Moving forward, NCDHD will be providing a weekday posting update of case information. The update will be posted regardless of confirmed cases announced that day or not. The posting will include, total number of cases for the district, confirmed cases per county, recovered cases, and deaths. The district information will be posted around 3:00 PM on our website and Facebook page Monday - Friday. If there are any discrepancies between the NCDHD posting and the DHHS website data, the NCDHD posting should be considered most up-to-date. As of 9:00 AM 5.21.20, district case count information is as follows:
NCDHD Case Counts- 20, Deaths: 0, Recoveries: Coming soon.
NCDHD is following current DHM guidance through May 31st. NCDHD has not yet received further information on guidance following the updated DHM set to be effective June 1st. This information will be shared with our district communities as it is obtained. Residents are encouraged to listen to Gov. Ricketts daily press briefings at 2:00 PM for additional information that is shared statewide. The press briefing can be viewed or listened to on the NET website under the Live and On-Demand section.
