Advisory committee formed
Superintendent Sara Anderson has formed a committee of school employees, including the administrative team, the activities director, and elementary teacher, a secondary teacher, and a classified staff member, board chair Karen Timanus, Katie Biggins, and Dr. Richard Kafka. The committee of ten met for the first time earlier in the day. The purpose of the committee is to advise Mrs. Anderson on a plan to return to school.
Classes set to begin August 19
Currently, classes are set to begin August 19. Mrs. Anderson has already worked on a plan to provide classes to both students at school and students at home, realizing that some families might not be comfortable sending their children to school and also planning that some students will have to be quarantined if they contract the COVID-19 virus. She is also preparing for the possibility of another complete shutdown.
