Casual discussion of city-wide garbage service ruffles a lot of feathers

The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. They agreed to meet at 5:30 with the Planning and Zoning Committee members to discuss zoning and building codes that need to be clarified or changed.

Council meets with P&Z before regular meeting

First, Gregg Drees, chairman of the committee, asked that something be done to ensure that building requests be complete when the committee gets them. People have been turning in incomplete forms, which makes the job of the committee difficult in determining whether or not to approve them because they don’t have time before the city council meeting to adequately look into them. They agreed to change the deadline to Wednesday noon before council meetings. They also discussed the possibility of adding a checklist.

Drees also questioned who is responsible for enforcing permits.

Mayor Scott Anshutz asked for three volunteers from the city council to meet with the Planning and Zoning committee to meet and work out some solutions to other questions the committee has. Ashley Lozano and Kristi Drey volunteered.
