Gregory County has second highest voter participation rate in the state
Voter turnout on November 6 was high across the country for a midterm election, shattering the 100 million mark for the first time with 113 million turning up at the polls and hitting a 50-year high 49% participation mark.
The state of South Dakota had a very high 62.75% participation rate compared to only 54.2% in the 2014 midterms.
Gregory County set the bar high with 76.78% of registered voters casting ballots, the second highest participation rate in the state behind Jones County, which had 79.9% voter turnout.
