Reformed Scrooges are needed

The spirit of Christmas is alive and well in the Gregory area, but according to Myrna Lindwurm, who is coordinating the community Christmas tree program at BankWest, about 14 cards remain available for someone to pick up to brighten the Christmas of a child in need.

As of Monday, several gifts had yet to make their way under the tree, but Lindwurm commented that most of those will come in by the Wednesday, December 19 deadline.

She said that anyone who would like to make a last-minute gift contribution will still be able to choose a name this week, as long as they get their gifts to the bank before they are picked up on Friday, December 21.

Monetary contributions are welcome as well, and any extra money will be used to purchase food for families in need.
