Storm tops the Trojans in last dual of the season
The Burke/Gregory Storm wrestling team traveled to Parkston, Tuesday, February 12, 2019, for their final dual of the season. The Storm came away with a 57-21 victory. It was the tenth victory of the year as opposed to only two losses. The team wrestled very well. They had some big matches that had state tournament implications to them and rose to the occasion, competing very well in not just those but all of our matches.
In those matches, number one ranked Riley Weber from Parkston won a 5-2 decision over Owen Hansen in the 106-pound weight class, and Landon Sudbeck won by fall in 58 seconds over Kort Schonebaum. This gave the Parkston Trojans a temporary lead, however, the next five matches went Burke/Gregory’s way as Zach Eklund, Mason Peck, and Mason Hood all picked up forfeits, while Jordan Vosika won a technical fall by a score of 18-2 in 4:45 over Noah Mahoney.
