SD Community Foundation recognizes Elmer Karl and Sandi Wernke as hometown heros

Myles Kenzy earned the opportunity to complete in the tie-down roping at the PRCA Permit-member Challenge that was held at Cowtown Coliseum in Ft. Worth, TX on December 9th, concurrent with the first week of the Wrangler NFR. His performances earned him first place finishes in both of the rounds, to win the average and the championship.
Erin Schulte and her boys were the winners of the cookie bake-off on Saturday at Dixon Townhall Theater. Their “elfie cookies” not only captured first prize but also won the peoples choice award. In addition, they captured third place with their “Mrs. Claus Bites.” Savanah Lozano, shown on the left, won second place with her “peppermint coal” cookies.
