2018 Was Wettest Season on Record for Ainsworth Irrigation District
Farmers and ranchers in North Central Nebraska are accustomed to dealing with adverse forces and conditions while trying to manage their operations.
Whether it be wet springs, drought, hail, snow or low prices, each year brings a new set of challenges. Irrigation has certainly played an important part in trying to alleviate some of the perils of raising crops in this area.
The Ainsworth Irrigation District has been delivering water to about 35,000 acres in this area since 1967. The district has been keeping records of water deliveries to its water users for the past 51 years.
