Ainsworth City Council Passes New Fireworks Ordinance
The Ainsworth City Council approved an ordinance pertaining to fireworks at its November 11th meeting.
The Council reviewed a proposed ordinance for fireworks at its October meeting and tabled the ordinance for minor changes.
After deleting a one-mile restriction zone from the ordinance, the Council passed the ordinance that sets specific dates for the lighting of fireworks and provides a way for residents to apply for a permit to light fireworks on dates other than those specified in the new ordinance.
The new ordinance also requires any litter or debris from the discharge of fireworks be removed no later than 9:00 a.m. the morning after the discharge.
