Masks Will Continue to Be Worn By ACS Students, Staff and Visitors Until Further Notice

Ainsworth Board of Education - Mark Johnson, Henry Beel, Jessica Pozehl, Brad Wilkins, Jim Arens and Scott Erthum, met on Wednesday, February 10th at noon for their regular monthly meeting.

The Board heard a request from Clint Painter on Dual Participation in Activities for 7th and 8th graders.

The District has received a request to discuss the possibility of allowing Junior High students to participate in two sporting events at one time. This would primarily be a consideration for fall with cross country, football and volleyball. There are other schools in our area that allow this with the purpose of letting Junior High students experience all sports in order to make informed decisions on participation in the sport they do best in before they reach High School. This would allow students to get exposure to the different sports and possibly get them hooked into a sport to keep them involved.
