4-H Achievement Days come to Gregory this week
The county fair is a fixture of rural America. It is a place where visitors can reconnect with the roots of where and how food gets to their tables, where hand-crafted items show what can be accomplished without automation, where human talents are celebrated.
At Gregory County’s 4-H Achievement Days attendees can see rabbits, chickens, cows, pigs, goats, and sheep up close, attend a style show, cheer on pedal tractor pullers, gorge on free ice cream, watermelon, and pancakes, participate in a robotics challenge, get a good laugh at the Ag Olympics, critique hand-crafted and homegrown items, and visit with friends from all over the county - all of this in just a few days each year.
