County commissioners pass resolution to prevent spread of coronavirus
The Gregory County Board of Commissioners held a special meeting at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, in the Gregory County Courthouse. Department heads from all the county offices as well as mayors from around the county were invited to attend as well. The purpose of the meeting was to determine a plan of action to address preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Gregory County.
They agreed that the courthouse will be closed to the public, effective at noon on March 24 until further notice. Only the courtroom and court services office will be open on court days to individuals involved.
Because license renewals have been extended to July 1, most courthouse services can be done by mail, phone, or email. Offices will remain staffed for these purposes.
