Gavin Pochop joins Johnson, Pochop, Bartling Law Office
Gavin Pochop has joined the law firm of Johnson, Pochop, Bartling Law Office.
A 2010 Gregory High School graduate, Pochop went on to the University of South Dakota. Following his graduation from USD Law School in 2017, he did a clerkship in Mitchell for South Dakota UJS (Unified Judicial System), working for four judges, rotating around the different courthouses in the circuit. During that time he did a lot of reading and a lot of writing. “I learned how to research, how to write, what they (the judges) like to see and don’t like to see,” he explained.
After another clerkship in Little Rock, Akansas, where his uncle George Johnson had also done a clerkship, Pochop decided that it was time to get into practice. Although Pochop’s time wasn’t quite done, the judge gave him the goahead; he knew Pochop’s grandpa Rick Johnson, mother Stephanie Pochop, and uncle George Johnson and wished him well.
