Gregory Public Works department is big winner at council meeting

The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 21, at City Hall.

The agenda was amended to remove Steve Bartling from new business, add executive session to discuss a potential land purchase, and add a report from the mayor.

Engel has lots of ideas for library

In department head reports, Librarian Tara Engel informed the council that the healthy cooking Teach Your Talent class had been postponed yet again. It is now scheduled to take place from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, and there is plenty of room for participants. She also distributed cards for February’s Book Bingo. The December report showed that, in spite of the unfavorable weather, four new patrons signed up. Engel has several new ideas and needs for the year and has put together a wish list that she is distributing to all the local businesses.
