Sixteen-mile mini-march provides motivation to break out of virus sloth
What do you do when the Coronavirus knocks out your routine and you find yourself eating more, exercising less, and missing real motivation to do anything about it? One Gregory resident found that motivation in preparing for a 16-mile hike, called the Black Hills Veteran March, and because she and her sister agreed to do it together, she had the motivation to follow through.
Suzanne Braun came across this opportunity on Facebook and decided that, although it wasn’t exactly what she had been looking for, it would be a worthwhile goal.
The March was conceived in 2002 as a way to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s service men and women, according to their website. Originally a 26.2 mile march, it takes place in the Black Hills National Forest on the Mickelson Trail.
