Cherry County EMS has new 4x4 ambulance
The Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service has received a new ambulance and it has been put into service. The purchase of the ambulance and related equipment was a collaborative effort by the Cherry County Hospital Foundation, Cherry County Commissioners, and the Cherry County Hospital. The purchase price of the vehicle and patient cot was $274,923.
The new ambulance is a 2019 F550 4X4 Road Rescue Unit. The ambulance staff has completed the process of transferring supplies and equipment from the ambulance being taken out of service. The new ambulance is constructed in a manner that in the future the box of the ambulance could be transferred to a new chassis. The new ambulance is equipped with a patient cot that is self loading which will increase patient and staff safety.
