Dan and Jo Dailey had an unusual alarm Wednesday morning around 5:20 a.m. They heard a big bang when lightning struck a pine tree in the Long Pine Cemetery, approximately 75 yards west of their home, located across the road. Roots were uncovered for about four feet around the base of the tree.

The Ainsworth Lions Club held its regular monthly meeting at 5:00 p.m. on June 19, 2023, at the Ainsworth Senior Center. Club President Dale Hafer called the meeting to order with 15 members and one guest present.

Question: I have white fuzzy stuff on the leaves of my mums, what is it and what should I do? If it is white to gray blotches on the leaves, stems and/or buds it is most likely powdery mildew. It may look like the plant has been sprinkled with baby powder.
