The regular meeting of the Brown County Hospital (BCH) Board of Trustees was held Monday, April 17, 2023. Present were Chairman Tate Schipporeit, Kirk Peterson, Brent Deibler and John Gross. Brian Delimont was excused. Also attending were CEO Mirya Hallock, CFO Tad Stearns - CFO, Lisa Fischer - HR, Brandy Bussinger - DON and Tawny Allen - Recording Secretary. Sara Kubik attended to present her department reports.

The Ainsworth High School Quiz Bowl team competed at the ESU 17 Quiz Bowl on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. The AHS team defeated Rock County, Valentine and Keya Paha, to win the competition and earning a trip to the state quiz bowl in Hastings on Wednesday, April 26th.

More than 2,400 students in grades 6-12 are expected to compete in the 53rd Annual Cornhusker Trap Shoot April 27-29 on the home grounds of the Nebraska Trapshooting Association in Doniphan, Nebraska.

The Ainsworth Lions Club held its regular monthly meeting on April 17, 2023, at the Ainsworth Senior Center. Club President Dale Hafer called the meeting to order with 13 members present.
