2023 Oral Spelling Bee Held for 1st - 8th Graders at Ainsworth Community Schools

Ainsworth Community Schools held its 1st 8th Grade Spelling Bee on Monday, February 1, 2023, in the Learning Center. Students took the written test prior to the oral contest to determine the finalists. The students who advanced to the Oral Bee were: 1st Grade: Jazzlyn Navarro, Keegan O’Hare, Bentley Mashburn, Lawson Rentschler and Deakon Crane.

NCTA Dean’s Academic Honors

Ellie Welke of Long Pine is one of 64 students receiving academic honors at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. “We are pleased with the growing number of students achieving high honors on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll this past semester,” said NCTA Dean Larry Gossen.

Ainsworth Speech Teams Takes Sixth Place at West Holt Speech Invitational

After having a week off due to winter weather, the Ainsworth High School Speech Team was back in action on Saturday, February 4th at the West Holt Speech Invitational. This meet offered the Ainsworth team a glimpse at some of the competition that they will encounter at their District contest.
