City of Ainsworth Receives Grant to Update Cyber Security

The City of Ainsworth received a LARM Safety Grant for a cyber security update to the City’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) for its water department. According to Lisa Schroedl, City of Ainsworth Administrator/ Clerk/Treasurer, the grant was used to strengthen the security of the water system.

Every February 2nd since 1887, Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania has made his weather prediction. If it’s sunny and he sees his shadow, it’s said we’ll see six more weeks of winter. If it’s cloudy and he doesn’t see his shadow, it’s said to mean an early spring.

Brown County Report January 22 - 28, 2023 Sunday, January 22nd A written warning and a citation for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone were issued during traffic stops on Highway 20. Received a report of a civil matter regarding the return of property in Long Pine.

“Six More Weeks of Winter or Not?” Most residents of the Sandhills are hoping that the Groundog Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania will not see his shadow. Everyone has appreciated the moisture, but most would like the snow we have to melt before we get any more.

Legislative Notes

Since I came to the Legislature in 2017, one of the top priorities of the constituents of my district has been wind energy. They do not want to see the ecologically unique Sandhills destroyed with these monstrosities, and they most definitely don’t want to be neighbors to them.
