Secretary of State Bob Evnen is outlining what to expect at the polls for the Tuesday, November 8 General Election. Polls will be open on November 8th from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm Central Time (CST) and 7:00 am -7:00 pm Mountain Time (MST).

New Garbage Truck Put Into Service in Ainsworth

For the past week or so, Ainsworth city crews have been distributing garbage totes around Ainsworth in preparation of using the new garbage truck. The new totes were placed curb side at residences in Ainsworth and residents are asked to place the tote in the same location on garbage days and not park vehicles near the totes.

Long Pine Chamber of Commerce Host Craft and Vendor Fair

Holiday craft and vendor fairs have started in the area with the Long Pine Chamber of Commerce hosting its annual event on Saturday, October 22nd at The Palace in Long Pine. There were many booths to shop from including wooden items, Scentsy, jewelry, food and drink, clothing, crocheted items and decorative tumblers to name a few items.

Sheriff’s Report

October 16 - 22, 2022 Sunday, October 16th During a traffic stop on Highway 20, near mile marker 247, a South Dakota driver was issued a citation for possession of an open alcohol container. A Nebraska driver was issued a citation for failure to report an accident, no valid registration or insurance and driving under suspension.

Kat’s Korner

The Bulldog football team continues in the Class D2 playoffs as they are still undefeated 9-0. If you haven’t seen them play, try to make it out to East City Park. They will be in the second round playoff game this Friday, October 28th beginning at 5:00 p.m. Lets pack the stands and let them know we are behind them.
