City Prepares Swimming Pool for June 1st Opening

On Tuesday, May 17th the city and swimming pool crew were hard at work preparing the Ainsworth Swimming Pool for a weather-permitting opening on Wednesday, June 1st. Above, employees prepare the shade canopies while the pool is filled up with two hoses.

Ainsworth Elementary Announce Monthly Award Winners

Mrs. Fernau’s Kindergarten class (pictured above) was named the Class of the Month. This class has worked on the way they go to and from the lunchroom every day. They walk correctly and their hands are to themselves. They are QUIET. They know there is no passing as they round the corner of the office. They know the expectations and they follow them. Showing great progress! They are learning so much but also showing much improvement in the following expectations in and out of the classroom. They are a fun bunch to work with.

Thespians Take the Stage with Comedic One-Act Performance

The month of April is known to bring more than just showers; April events and festivities fill up the activity calendar as active students travel to conventions, athletic events, and various other competitions. Throw in preparation for a play to perform at the Thespian Showcase, and you have Ainsworth High School’s busy agenda.

Boys Golf at SWC and Three Invites in Two Weeks

The Bulldog Boys Golf team has been on the road a lot recently: in just eight days, they traveled to McCook for Southwest Conference and three invitationals along Highway 20. Southwest Conference This year’s Boys Golf Southwest Conference meet was hosted by McCook on Thursday, May 5th.
