Commissioners Vote to Increase Speed Limit on Meadville Avenue

The Brown County Commissioners discussed increasing the speed limit on Meadville Avenue during their regular meeting on November 7th. Commissioner Jeremiah Dailey said he has had quite a few people request a speed limit increase on Meadville Avenue.

Ainsworth Middle School Wrestlers Start 2023 Season

The 2023 Wrestling Season started for the Ainsworth Middle School wrestlers on November 7th at the Valentine Middle School Wrestling Invitational. In their first competition of the season, Ainsworth Middle School wrestlers placed fourth out of nine teams.

Graecyn Bartak Kindergarten Graecyn is a hard worker, listens to directions the first time they are given, does a good job helping her classmates at her table when they get stuck and is the first one to help pick up when an activity is finished. Graecyn is quiet when lining up in the hallway and when walking between classes, she stays in line and keeps her hands to herself.

Gov. Pillen Issues Executive Order Returning State Public Servants to Offices

Governor Jim Pillen has issued an Executive Order (EO) recalling state public servants who have continued to work remotely since the COVID pandemic. The order outlines specific circumstances in which remote work may be authorized by agency heads. The EO is effective January 2, 2023.

2023 Farm Service Agency County Committee Elections Open

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) mailed ballots this past week for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) county and urban county committee elections to all eligible agricultural producers and private landowners across the country. Elections are occurring in certain Local Administrative Areas for these committee members who make important decisions about how Federal farm programs are administered locally. Producers and landowners must return ballots to their local FSA county office or have their ballots postmarked by December 4, 2023, for those ballots to be counted.
