Brown County Sheriff’s Office to Participate in “Click-It or Ticket”

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, through funding by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety, will be participating in the National “Click-It or Ticket” Mobilization. The enforcement dates for the campaign are November 22nd, through November 26th, 2023.

Ainsworth FFA Chapter had representation at the 94th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, IN, which took place from November 1st - November 5th included (Front Row - Left to Right): Zaily Daniels, Megan Jones, Branden Freudenburg, Tyrin Daniels, Landon Crane and Kaden Evans; (Back Row - Left to Right): Gracie Kinney, Breanna Fernau, Miah Ortner, Willa Flynn, Addi Held, Makenzy Cheatum, Londyn Dunbar, Kinsey Walz and Preselyn Goochey.

Wilkins, Schlueter and Beel Receive Coveted American Degree at the 94th Annual National FFA Convention

Recently several members of the Ainsworth FFA Chapter attended the 94th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, IN, which took place from November 1st - November 5th. On the trip, members of the chapter were given the opportunity to partake in several engaging activities.

Mayor Klammer Reports No Progress on Law Enforcement Committee Meeting

During the regular meeting of the Ainsworth City Council on November 8th, Ainsworth Mayor Joel Klammer reported the Law Enforcement Committee has not met yet to discuss the Brown County Sheriff’s Office not closing the Ainsworth Conference Center or Ainsworth Cemetery.

Posting of the colors during the Veterans Day Program was done by members of the Ainsworth American Legion, Ainsworth American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of American Legion. The Ainsworth High School band played the “Star Spangled Banner” and “God Bless the U.S.A.”. Performing “Taps” were Erin Rathe, Colby Beegle, Abbi Paulson, Miranda Phares and David Cook.

The Mexican community in Ainsworth held their inaugural “First Altar of the Day of the Dead” on November 1st. This tradition originates from the “Mexican Culture” it is believed that there is a process to be born and die.

Commissioners Vote to Increase Speed Limit on Meadville Avenue

The Brown County Commissioners discussed increasing the speed limit on Meadville Avenue during their regular meeting on November 7th. Commissioner Jeremiah Dailey said he has had quite a few people request a speed limit increase on Meadville Avenue.
