“What A Week To Be A Bulldog” Even though the weather didn’t cooperate with the festivities during Ainsworth High School’s Homecoming Week, there was still a lot to celebrate. Weather forecast changed the District Cross Country Meet to Wednesday instead of having it on Thursday.

Accident Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle accident in the Dollar General parking lot on October 8th. The accident occurred at 12:15 p.m.

October 8 - 14, 2023 Sunday, October 8th Responded to a report of a domestic altercation in Ainsworth. Individual was arrested and booked into the Brown County Jail.

Signature Verifications and Certification Completed for Private Education Tax Credit Referendum

County election officials have finished verifying valid signatures submitted as part of the petition drive to repeal LB753 and have certified their results with the Secretary of State’s office. “After careful review by our county election officials, I can confirm that the constitutional requirements have been met to place the referendum petition on the November 2024 ballot,” Secretary Evnen said.
