Nothing ruins a public hearing on a legislative bill like the public showing up. Wait, what? A former boss said it years ago at the end of a particularly long day of hearings at the State Capitol.

Exercise for Healthier Aging

We all know that exercise is great for our overall health. Exercise is important for our cardiovascular health of course, which is why the American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise every week. No less importantly, and especially as we get older, another huge benefit of exercise is in fall and injury prevention.

Needlework, Woodwork, Hobbies, Scrapbooking All Fun Entries at the Brown County Fair

Judges had fun judging the exhibits in the Needlework Division consisting of needlework, hobbies, quilting, carvings, sewn items, Legos and much more. Superintendent Evelyn Jones stated the entries were down this year, but if you looked around there were still some nice items on display. The following were presented a blue, red or white sticker.

Thought for the week: People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges. The first two days of this past week were very warm and a cold front came in and it cooled off plus it rained.
