Renovations Being Made to Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course

This past summer and fall, renovations are being made to the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course. It all started with dying trees. When the golf course was laid out, hole nine had a line of American Elm trees along the right side to protect the hole from long ball hitters. After 50 or 60 years, the trees started dying and the dead ones were slowly removed. This past summer the remainder (about nine) were taken out and left the integrity of the hole without protection.
