Cloudy with a Chance of Grace

How long would it take you to come up with ten things you are thankful for? Ten seconds? Ten minutes? On the flip side, how long does it take us to come up with a list of requests that we would like God to shower upon us from heaven? Speaking of stuff falling from the sky…our family has enjoyed the movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. In this movie, a young inventor has actually made it possible to put in orders and get food to fall from the sky. It didn’t turn out as good as everyone thought it would. Perhaps that is why God doesn’t do things that way.
If you are like me, it is often easier to think of things I want rather than things I already have. When my focus is on “wants” I am robbing myself of the amazing treasures of joy and contentment. I’m allowing clouds to build up in my life that keep me from seeing and feeling the sunshine of God’s goodness.
