Demolition of Depot Building Was Started On Monday, November 28th

Demolition of the former Depot Restaurant building was started on Monday, November 28th.

The Depot building was located on the west side of Main Street on the north end of the Mini Park.

The building had fallen into disrepair and filled with mold making it beyond repair.

The owner of the building donated it to the North Central Development Center (NCDC) along with money for the demolition.

NCDC Executive Director Kristiun Olson said that Frontier Diesel was hired to tear the building down. Crews cleaned out the inside of the building in the past few weeks and the actual demolition started on Monday.

Bruce Dannatt, owner of Frontier Diesel, said he wanted to cave in the roof and then take the walls down. Dannatt started at the back of the building caving in the roof and it was soon determined that doing it that way would damage the adjacent building occupied by the The Connection.
