Cold Temperatures Play Havoc in Ainsworth Schools Music Room

Students and staff were welcomed to Ainsworth Community Schools on Wednesday, January 4th with a different “Tune” greeting them in the music room. The music room was flooded with half the floor under water.

Due to the cold weather a damper that allows cold air in to warm up froze up and created the water line to freeze some time between the last bell ringing on January 3rd to reentering the music room on January 4th around 7:00 a.m. There are two units in that area of the school - one was shut down until it can be fixed. Currently the one they are using is heating up the room on its own. At this time, according to Principal Lentz they weren’t sure if it was a mechanical or electrical issue.
