Marvin John Copeland
Marvin John Copeland was born to John and Betty (Osburn) Copeland on April 10, 1961 in Valentine, NE. He passed away at home on January 9, 2017 at the age of 55 years and 9 months.
From the beginning his parents recognized Marvin as a special child. He had a sweet disposition and winning smile. No one but Marv could reach so many hearts without words. With the love of his parents, sister and family he was able to live his entire life at home.
In spite of being a special needs child Marvin attended training programs for 5 years. At the age of 15 years he started attending North Star Day Service where over the next 40 years he made many friends and enjoyed his days.
He was proceeded in death by his father, John Fredrick Copeland; grandparents, Fred and Clara Ethel Copeland and Albert and Lillian Osburn.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Copeland, his older sister, with whom he shared the same birthday, Marla Kilmer and husband Willis; nephews, Ryan Kilmer and wife Ronelle and John Kilmer and fiancé Alina Bristol all of Valentine, Aunt Bonny Copeland of Salina, KS; Uncle Darrel Copeland and wife Irma of Salina, KS; Uncle Dick Osburn and wife Letha of Cairo, NE; Uncle Ray Osburn and wife Florence of Valentine, NE along with numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral Service was held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines. Burial followed at the Sparks Cemetery. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was in charge of service arrangements.
