Agriculture: Food for LifeBy

As the saying goes, once in your life you may need a doctor, a lawyer or a banker; but at least once a day, every day, you will need a farmer or rancher.

Agriculture is the largest industry in Nebraska with one in every four jobs being related to the industry. That’s why Nebraska and the rest of the nation will honor farmers, ranchers and all those who contribute to their success on National Agriculture Day, March 21, 2017, and during National Agriculture Week, March 19-25, 2017.

National Agriculture Day, led by the Agriculture Council of America (ACA) is in its 44th year of celebrating “the true story of American agriculture” in an effort to remind individuals across the nation that agriculture affects us all. This year’s theme is “Agriculture: Food for Life.”
