Cool Temperatures and Windy Conditions Didn’t Keep the Bargain Buyway Shoppers Away
Ainsworth was once again a part of the Annual Bargain Buyways - the 12th Annual Ultimate Road Trip on April 28th, 29th and 30th. Thirty-one towns along the 250 mile loop participated - Royal, Orchard, Page, Inman, O’Neill, Emmet, At-kinson, Butte, Spencer, Bristow, Lynch, Monowi, Verdel, Niobrara, Verdigre, Winnetoon, Brunswick, Plainview, Neligh, Clearwater,
Stuart, Bassett, Creighton, Ewing, Long Pine, Ainsworth, Springview, Burton, Mills, Naper and Newport.Bargain Buyway was an oppor-tunity to entice people and tourists to these areas for a weekend of treasure hunting and sightsee-ing. Rummage sales, antiques, old machinery, tools, equipment and food fairs - new, used, cherished and abused! In checking out the sign-up sheets at the volunteer operated welcome to Ainsworth booth, we found guests had signed in from Nebraska, Wyoming, South Dakota, Connecticut, California, Kansas and Washington.
