The Hog Trough holds a Ribbon Cutting

We all have dreams, right?! Not the nighttime type; but aspirations... hopes...desires...goals. While the journey has been in the making for several years, The Hog Trough goal has come to fruition with their recent Ribbon Cutting!

Owned by Joe and April Bacon, The Hog Trough, L.L.C., is a smoked pork lovers dream!

“Joe discussed his passion for several years with his stepfather. They talked about recipes, cooked, and taste tested for many years. After Joe’s stepfather’s passing, Joe continued to pursue his dream of owning a mobile concession trailer,” April, his wife, said. She herself has a Masters Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Emphasis and shared in his passion.

The concession trailer made its debut at the Spring Fling where several of their entrées were sold out. They are licensed in Nebraska and with the Rosebud Sioux Tribe.

Their summer is quickly filling up with requests, including the upcoming Junior Rodeo that will be held at the Cherry County Fairgrounds May 6-7, and a space at the Rosebud Fair.
