Kolby, son of Bob and Bev Beck, was born on May 21, 2005. He lived with his family on their farm southwest of Dallas. From an early age, Kolby demonstrated a love for animals, raising baby chicks and puppies. He had a passion for learning and was looking forward to beginning his sixth grade year in Gregory. His inquisitive nature was fed by his love of science, a desire to understand how machines work and how he could fix them - even the vacuum.
This summer Kolby began helping his parents in the field and proudly learned how to bale, making 600 bales in two days. He took on the commitment of planting and tending to his own garden, enjoyed playing trumpet in band and he recently passed level six in swimming lessons. Kolby’s positive attitude and growing responsibility earned him a phone of which he loved using to watch YouTube videos and socializing via Snapchat with his friends and family.
With Kolby’s passing we remind ourselves and others that his life is one to be celebrated. His energetic spirit, kind heart and selfless love for family and friends created memories that will remain forever in our hearts and will forever remind us of what is most important in our lives. Through his involvement in the Awana program at the Berean Church, his family is comforted in knowing that he found salvation through Jesus Christ.
Grateful for having shared his life are his loving parents, Bob and Bev Beck; brother Joe Beck (Erin and Jace); sister Bailey Beck; paternal grandparents Ken and Kathy Beck; maternal grandparents Ray and Sharon Bigelow; and many other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
