Faye Adeline (Kidder) Boyles, 78, of Mullen, NE, departed this life on July 23, 2017, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Faye was born at Wells, NE, on January 28, 1939. She was the seventh daughter born to Milton C. and Pearl L. (Harris) Kidder. Her sister Noami was the midwife when she was born.
She married Melvin Roy Boyles on March 31, 1961. To this union two daughters, Sonja Kay Boyles (Peters) and Coleen May Boyles Springman were born. In 1972 David Lee Boyles came to live with them and completed their family.
Faye attended school in Cherry County, Mullen, Nebraska, and Elida, NM, where she graduated in 1957. She attended her 60th reunion on July 1.
She graduated from Chadron State College and was a school teacher for many years. She also ranched for over 43 years on land originally homesteaded by her grandfather, William Porter Kidder.
She is survived by her two daughters and David (Teresa), two grandchildren, two sisters, Dorothy Higbee of Crescent, IA, and Glenice Van Eaton of Henryetta, OK; sisters-in-law, Darlene (Bill) Osborn and Nila Pettit and many caring nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters Helen Amsberry, Noami Newlin, Joy Herring, Ada Leishman and brother Kent Kidder.
Services were held Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. MDT at the Mullen Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in the Seneca Cemetery.
