Cassidy R. Hoffschneider, 47
Cassidy R. Hoffschneider, 47 years, of Fremont, NE, passed peacefully Thursday, March 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family after a hard fought battle with cancer. Cassidy was born August 9, 1971 in Hastings, NE to Rene and Virginia (Pearson) Molthan.
She lived in Kearney, Grand Island, Geneva and Davenport all in Nebraska before moving to Fremont. She attended Doane College at Crete, Nebraska and received her BA in Business and English, and was a proud member of the Chi Delta Sorority.
Cassidy married Charles “Chuck” Hoffschneider on April 16, 1994 at Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport. She worked as a para educator at Howard Grade School in Fremont. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont where she taught vacation bible school, belonged to the Ladies Aid and helped count money. She loved doing arts, crafts, scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, making homemade greeting cards, poetry, cooking, journals, gardening, traveling and music.
Cassidy was happiest encouraging, helping and supporting family and friends in whatever was meaningful in their lives. She was a quiet, unassuming person with a steady positive reassuring presence. She will be in our hearts and minds forever.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck of Fremont; daughters, Hannah (Carl) Coonfield of Springdale, AK and Morgan Hoffschneider (special friend, Chris Bell) of Fremont; son, Evan Hoffschneider of Fremont; mother and step-father, Virginia and Wayne Biltoft of Custer, SD; sisters, Carrie (Todd) Cernin of Leshara, NE and Cholly (Matt) Partridge of Granville, OH; granddaughter, Arya Coonfield; mother-in-law, Cheryl Hoffschneider of Ainsworth, NE; brother-in-law, Paul (Audra) Hoffschneider of Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Lise (Lyndon) Wieseman of Lake Geneva, WI; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
She was preceded in death by father, Rene Molthan and father-in-law, James Hoffschneider.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Vicar Shari Schwedhelm officiated. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont or to the family for a charity yet to be determined. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE was in charge of the arrangements.
