Mary Anna (Sis) Alberts Sharp, 73
Mary Anna (Sis) Alberts Sharp was born March 2,1946 to Bud and Arlene (Eby) Alberts in Ainsworth. She departed this earth March 23, 2019, at 73 years and 22 days young. Mary graduated from Ainsworth High School in May of 1964.
She married Larry Sharp in October 1964. They made their home in Valentine until Larry joined the Navy and was stationed in Point Mugu, serving his country in Vietnam. Returning to Valentine in 1972, Cash was welcomed into the family and in 1975, Buck joined.
Sis had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing as much as her father. Mary often tagged alongside her husband to share joy in hunting and later traveling. She didn’t know a stranger and could talk to anybody. She took great joy in listening to others, no matter the subject.
As Mary Anna was growing up in Ainsworth, she babysat many children as well as worked at Hidden Paradise and hoed beets in the summer. Mary had an abrasive humor and told it how it was.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Sharp; son, Cash Sharp; father and mother, Bud and Arlene Alberts; father and motherin-law, Bob and Sylvia Sharp; and sister-in-law, Nancy Sharp Canburn.
She is survived by her son, Buck Sharp of Valentine; grandchildren, Kylla and Tarin Hanson, Brieanna and Klayton Honeycutt and Kaden Sharp; great-grandchildren, Aluxyn and Thorin Hanson and Cash Honeycutt; brother, Howard (Linda) Alberts; sister, Susan (Justin) Brickner; nieces and nephews, Max and Kim Alberts, Hadley and Annie Brickner and Jerry Canburn.
Visitation for Mary Sharp was held Thursday, March 28th at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine. Online condolences can be made at www.sandozfuneralhome.com.
