Funeral services for Robert Anderson were held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Winner, SD with Pastor Don Windsperger officiating.
Music was provided by Karey Thieman, pianist, duet by Emmie Kaiser and Brad Schramm. Norma and Chuck Keiser were in charge of registration. Judy Swartz, Cheryl Schroeder, Stephanie Anderson Schneider and McKenzie Anderson were flower attendants.
Casket bearers were Stetson Anderson, Preston Anderson, Jayce Anderson, Luke Schneider, Bayne Sieck, Jim Hofeldt, Clint Carlson and Gary Zimbelmann. Honorary casket bearers were Stephanie Anderson Schneider, McKenzie Anderson, Bob Gehlson, Larry Harkin, Jim Kaiser, Brad Carlson, Rodney Littau, Dean Musilek, Jim Legge and all of Bob’s family and friends.
Interment was in the Winner City Cemetery in Winner, SD. Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Robert (Bob) was born January 21, 1945 at Aberdeen, SD. When he was six weeks old Warner and Eva Anderson adopted him. Bob went to a country school from first grade through eighth grade. He graduated from Winner High School in 1963.
On March 20, 1965, Bob married Pattie Hossle and to this union three sons were born: Quint Eric, Lee Allen, and Ken Robert. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family by hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and having family get-togethers.
Bob was baptized, confirmed, and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church south of Colome, SD, until it was closed. He then became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Winner, SD.
Bob spent his whole life ranching and raising cattle.
Robert Lee Anderson, 76, a long-time resident of Winner, SD, passed away on February 4, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Quint, his parents Warner and Eva Anderson, father and mother-in-law Stuart and Eva Hossle, and sister-in-law Connie Baedke.
Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years Pattie; sons Lee and Ken (Dana); grandchildren Stephanie Anderson (Luke) Schneider, Stetson (Moriah), McKenzie (Bayne), Jayce (Brooklyn), and Preston (Aramee); three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Larry Baedke, and nieces and nephews.
