Ainsworth Bulldogs End Regular Season at 10-10 With 58-35 Win Over Cody-Kilgore

The Ainsworth Bulldogs wrapped up regular season play on February 19th against the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys with a 58-35 win.

The Dawgs opened with a strong first quarter, scoring 19 points and holding the Cowboys to eight points.

Ainsworth added 13 points in the second quarter and Cody-Kilgore was close behind with 12 points. Ainsworth took a 32-20 lead into halftime.

Ainsworth came out hot in the third quarter and scored 16 points. The Dawg’s defense allowed the Cowboys only six points in the third quarter.

The fourth quarter found Ainsworth subbing so all players were able to see action in the final home game of the season.

Ainsworth defeated the Cowboys 58-35 giving the Dawgs a 10-10 regular season record.

Sub-District play started for Ainsworth on Tuesday, February 23rd with a road trip to Neligh to play the West Holt Huskies.

Ainsworth, 10-10 #2 seed, had met West Holt, 12-10 #3 seed, only once during the regular season. Ainsworth picked up their first win of the season over the West Holt Huskies, 58-52.

Boys Subdistrict C2-6 was held in Neligh. Schools in the C2-6 Sub-Disrict are Ainsworth (10-10), Neligh-Oakdale (13-10), North Central (9-11), Summerland (6-14) and West Holt (12-10).
