Ainsworth Bulldogs Lose to McCook, Record Stands at 9 and 10

For the second time in 11 days, the Ainsworth Boys Basketball team went up against a tough McCook Bison team. Ainsworth came out on top in their first meeting 58 to 54.

The Dawgs hosted McCook on February 3rd and lost to the Bison 47 to 75. The Dawgs’ shooting was cold in the first quarter and managed only six points while McCook put up 18 points.

In the second quarter Ainsworth started hitting some shots. Ainsworth scored 14 points, but McCook extended its lead by five with a 19-point quarter, making the halftime score 37 to 20 in favor of McCook.

The Dawgs didn’t give up and cut McCook’s lead to nine points in the third quarter, scoring 18 points while holding McCook to 10.

The fourth quarter was all McCook’s when they exploded for 28 points while holding the Dawgs to only nine points.
