Ainsworth Cross Country Teams Preparing for 2018 Season and Looking For Another Great Year
With summer miles and early August training behind them, the 2018 Ainsworth Cross Country teams are beginning to ready for the upcoming season. Expectations will again be high as the girls return five runners from the 2017 Class D State Championship team. The boys will return four runners from a team that finished 8th at state a year ago.
The girls will be led by two-time defending state champion Rylee Rice. Rice, who also has the distinction of being the only class D runner to win the all-class gold in cross country, will anchor a squad returning three of its four scoring runners from a year ago. CeeAnna Beel, who finished just outside a medal at State, returns with fellow sophomores Madison Welch and Molly Salzman. This trio looks to be medalist contenders as the season unfolds
